“ Ordered ikan bakar, cos the fish is frozen! Not fresh. So can't order steamed fish. La la. Kailan. Udang nestum (cereal prawn). All nice. Coconut is 1000 IDR. ”
“ Sop Ikan or Fish Soup (IDR 48k) - soup was flavourful and there were tomato slices and some preserved vegetable slices in it but the fish had a strong taste that might be off putting for some people. Sotong Bakar or Grilled Squid (IDR 128k) - this was the best dish of the evening in our opinion. The sauce was smoky, spicy with a hint of sweetness. Kailan Tumis Udang or Stir-Fried Kailan with Shrimps (IDR 40k) - flavourful and well seasoned dish with hints of wokhey, not bad! Gong-Gong (IDR 48k) - rather typical, but it was fresh though like most shelled seafood, there might be some grit. Ordered two portions of rice (IDR 6k each), and some tea - Iced Teh Susu (IDR 12k) and Hot Teh Tarik (IDR 8k). Well both were really really sweet. The tea was mild, and it felt as if the sweetness masked the taste of the tea. Not very used to the sweetness as we both usually go for non-sugared drinks. Overall, this meal was not bad, though they do take a while to prepare your food so be prepared to wait a bit. But generally it was a relaxing meal, place was laid back, with nice breeze to enjoy! Oh and we also had some company (a cat)! ”
